stress and early pregnancy

Has anyone had a very stressful early pregnancy and still had a healthy baby? I am 5 weeks, and I started a new job the day after I found out I was pregnant. I have been so stressed, to the point where my upper back is hurting. I have gone home crying all week! I am so worried that this could cause a miscarriage. Anyone have any thoughts? This is my first pregnancy, so maybe my hormones are just all out of whack

The baby will be fine and so will you. Try not to stress so much! alot of it probably IS the hormones. They make ppl feel whacky. I did with my first and this time too. Things will get better. Wait til 2nd semester when those hormones level out and if you get any morning sickness then it'll likely subside during the 2nd trimester also.

Well my first pregnancy was pretty stressful. I got married when I was about 8 weeks pregnant. Then my mom died two weeks later. We had to move, had to get rid of my cat who I had had for years, our marriage was really rocky and I was ANGRY and bitter the rest of my pregnancy (not because of being pregnant, for personal reasons).

And my daughter is a perfectly healthy, above-average 4-year-old now.

Hunny you are fine take a deep breath and relax. I promise you and your beautiful baby will be fine. I went through stress that I dont think any pregnant women should go through. I was so stressed like you. I have a healthy 20 pound 8 month old son, he was born healthy to.It will be okay...look forward to a new life with your baby!!!
