So Scared..!

So I have my OB apointment today and I'm not sure if its this week or next week but she is going to do the group b strep test on me. I'm scared of it hurting because even though its done just like a pap test the last time in l&d when the one ob did a test with that metal thing it hurt so freaking bad I was crying and was yelling at her to take it out. Any other ladies also have the same problem?? Why does it hurt so bad:( tmi but even sex hurts ugh! And the pains not just uncomfterble its excruciating pain

When I got my strep b test it was really uncomfortable but not painful also she didn't use any metal or plastic to open my vagina when she checked for dilation. ..maybe you can see if you she can just use her fingers minus the other equipment it will probably be alot less painful

Phew thanks ladies! I asked my dr about it today and I get it my nect visit when ill be around 35w also she said I won't need the metal thing she's just going to use a q tip omg I was all scared for nothing lol thanks everyone for letting me know I had that option to not use that thingy

My dr just used a cotton swab she didnt use the metal thing to open my vagina theres no need tell them not to

I hate having pap smears always have. I feel like I am being violated. But the test wasn't as bad as the pap. My ob didn't use the metal thing she used a plastic one. Just relax and think avout something positive.

The strep b test didn't hurt me.. It was just a swab with a q tip. Hopefully its unpainful for you!

That metal thing it did hurt so much!!!!  They did it to me after I got in a car accident with my first baby and every time she put her fingers in me to see if I dilated it hurt so much but wen I got out and my docter did it did not hurt at all she was just shoving

The strep b test didn't hurt me at all and I actually didn't even feel it. It was done in a couple seconds. Over and done. As for being sensitive down there, its completely normal. Just relax next time and it will be over before u know it. :)
