its quite common to bleed in early pregnancy.Brown blood is old blood so as long as its not red or with clots it should be fine. Also the cramping could be your uterus stretching making room for abby.I know when i was pregnant i felt like my period was about to start but it was just the uterus stretching.i would advise you to go see your doctor though to be on the safe side.Good luck with your pregnancy xx
I am almost 6 weeks along and yesterday I had fresh blood. I called my doctor and they said just to rest for the weekend and they scheduled an u/s for monday, but they said as long as there is no heavy bleeding, clots or severe cramping, then everything should be fine but to take it easy and stay in bed all weekend.
the short answer is i don't know. there are many, many different causes for bleeding in pregnancy. some of which threaten the baby and some of which do not. you do need to see your dr, but may have to wait to find the cause of your bleed because you're so early on that it's unlikely an ultrasound will show the cause. and you may never know the cause...bleeds are hard to spot on ultrasounds. it may help you to know that i had heavy bleeds ( red blood ) with pain between 9 and 16 weeks pregnant. it was a threatened miscarriage but hasn't been since i was 18 weeks. i'm 31 weeks now and baby is doing fine. hope things turn out ok. try not to worry ( i know that's easier said than done ) and do not have sex until you have spoken with your dr, then follow his/her advice.
thank you for your help and support;its really bringing my hopes up:]
