depo shot?

I got pregnant when I was 15, the father and I stayed together. Married, got a house, straightened up. I'm 19 now, my son will be four in October and we're trying for another. I was on the depo shot for a little over 2 years. My period has always been irregular. I've read staying on the depo for more than two years can cause thinning in your uterus wall, making it hard for the egg to attach. I was wondering if my chances of conceiving are less likely since I had my first child young and I was on the depo shot for more than a 2 year period? Thank you.

If it stops you being fertile then they wouldn't give it to us to use I think for some it can take longer maybe because your wanting it so bad and thinking bout it and after I lost my first baby girl I didn't get pregnant until 1 year and 8months after I was taking depo shot and then after because it would make me bleed I was on the pill and then I forgot to take my pill and then a year and 8months later I got pregnant with my 2nd pregnancy but I lost that threw a missed miscarriage and then I hat to have a d&c february 2012 then in June I found out I was pregnant with my 3rd baby girl something went wrong with that 1 then in April after having a period I found out I was pregnant with this 1 at the end of April I got a positive  I'm so happy it took 5-6months witch is quit quick for me but I think if you relax don't think bout it that much it will happen trust me I gave up loads of times and I got pregnant good luck I hope you get your results soon hun

I got 4 shots, 2 months after the 4th shot I got pregnant and had a miscarriage, bc my uterus was weak.  I didn't get the shot after it. I got pregnant in April and have been off of it since last October. So i don't think it caused any infertility

I've got pregnant on the depo shot. It was crazy I had been on it for over a year. I didn't miss any of my shots but still got pregnant on it. I've heard from a lot of woman they had to wait half a year to get pregnant. But everyone's body is different. Maybe see your OBGYN for help with conceiving.

It actually takes less time to come out of your system the longer you were using it. I was on the depo shot for over 4 years. I then switched to the mini pill because I can't take the regular pill. I had been off depo and on the mini pill for 3 years when I got pregnant. I actually got pregnant while still taking the mini pill

Thank you! My last shot was in November of 2012. I didn't finally get my period back until the end of June 2013. We recently starting trying at the beginning of August 2014. I know I need to be patient, just waiting is the hardest part lol.

I was told it can take three months to three years to become fertile again after your last shot. I was lucky and got pregnant within six months.
