depressed&stressed

Im so stressed out.. my babygirl will be here next month and me nd my bd are still living with his dad once the baby gets here we have to move out. Were trying to find our own place but with him being the only one working its very hard. Well I found an apt that is income based and they have a two bedroom open, only problem we have to have 50 dollars background check first months rent and security deposit. And I keep trying to find somewhere in my city that helps with a first months rent or deposit but it seems like its impossible all they keep telling me is u have to be living on the streets. Well if your a place that is supposed to help or prevent shouldn't you help me before my baby gets here and I have no place to go. Im so depressed and stressed out all I do is sit around and cry. And everytime I try to talk to a family member all they can say is it'll be okay. Uhh no it wont be okay my baby will be here soon and I feel like a piece of crap I can't provide for my daughter right now.

But look into the ywca and see what they can do. I was told they have family shelters and family housing

My bd gets ssi and is unable to work. I am 25 weeks and just got a job today. My son is due in late november so hopefully we can save up enough money to take care of getting an apartment. He also gets disability housing but to live with him automatically disqualifies me for subsidized housing.

Right. Thats just crazy to me.so on top pf all this being stressful on me and my bd its jist making us argue cause hes making me feel like nothing i do is good enough. And trust me before i got pregnant i always worked. Makes it so mucb harder when you cant work and have to depend on him

I am gaving tge same problem. I was told by my social worker at dshs that they housing authorities dont really worry about pregnant women but once baby is born there is a rush to get them into housing. Which i find completely rediculous because it puts a bunch of stress on the pregnant women and stress is not good for the baby and also because mommy and newborn should have a safe place to go after baby is born.
