depression, help!

I'm 8 weeks pregnant and I'm feeling extremely depressed. I don't want my body go rack and ruin and I also feel I'll loose all the freedom I used to have. I'm not the owner of my body anymore. Is there any method to avoid getting fat, apart from eating healthily? I also feel I'll never be myself anymore, or live for myself anymore. Is it possible to have a life and to keep fit after having a child? Am I ruining my life by having a kid?

I agree with the first comment you should of thought of all this before you had a baby..im 9 months pregnant and its hard but worth everything you go through and when you hear your babies heart beat or see him/her for the first time in an ultrasound it gives your life a whole new meaning! I haven't even met my daughter and everything i do and think about is for her and i promise your child will love you more then any other human! After your first trimester its fun and you get to start buying baby stuff and me personally EVERY ONE even strangers gives me special treatment because of my "fat" belly lol..when i get down i just think of the outcome and how beautiful my baby will be

your only 8 weeks, the first trimester is scary for everyone.  even those who have been planning their pregnancy get "cold feet" in the beginning when it becomes a reality that their life is going to change.  not just that but you dont feel well and you have something in you that seems like it is ruining your life if you cant keep food down :)
but soon those symptoms will die down, and you will think about the positives of having a baby, not just the negatives, you will develop new goals in life or put the ones you have on a new timeline and everything will seem much brighter.
if you remain active and eat right, your baby will probably not ruin your body, just when you are eating for two remember one of them is smaller than your hand and really only needs a bagel more food a day! if you gain weight the right way, you have nothing to worry about :)
we all get scared, im 18 weeks and have started painting my nursery today, than while shopping for groceries im like, holy **** im having a baby. you can have all the clothes, your nursery set up, and it's still not real until you hold you baby in your arms.  :)

You are going to get fat regardless because of the weight the baby needs to grow. You will be able to exercise and what not when your healed after 9 months and when ever your baby is asleep. You can still work out now just ask you doctor what you can do. You should never think this baby is going to ruin your life it's a blessing. But if you do think that you should of thought of the options before getting pregnant. In the end this baby will be your joy.
