is transvaginal scan safe

hi i had my first scan appontment today and had to get a transvaginal scan, my baby is measuring 6 weeks 2 days with a strong heart beat. i just want to know if the scan is safe, my tummy is a bit sore tonight, they really had to search about to find the baby and push my tummy down at the same time, i had a miscarriage in january and i think im just worrying about nothing, well i hope i am...any advice would be great, thanks

hi i had one of these scans and they areally safe  totally safe my tummy hurt afterwards to 4 a bit u should be fine as they do press a little hard to find the baby coz its so early at 6 weeks im 9 and 1/2 weeks now and flying tank god just rest x

I had lots of transvaginal scans on the first 3 months of the pregnancy , and I also had a m/c before that....I believe it is safe, they cannot hurt your baby , I don't think! In any way, I don't think there is another way to find a heartbeat! CONGRATS
