Is my baby abnormal

Hi,
I am 9 and a half weeks since conception. Last week when I was 8 weeks I had my first ultrasound and it confirmed that my baby is 6mm. The doctor kept saying that means I am 6 weeks but it is absolutely impossible as the last time I was with my partner was 9 and a half weeks ago and I havent had intercourse since then. What does this mean does it mean the baby is abnormal?.

I'm 28w3d you are going to be so shocked how time flies! At first I thought that my due date was a million years away and now I'm panicing because it is so close! Best of luck to you I hope everything turns out okay! Seeing a heartbeat at that stage makes the chance of miscarriage go down to like 5% if that reassures you at all! :)

Hi
thanks so much yeah there was a healthy heartbeat and everything appears to be fine so I will try not to stress. Thats so interesting I had no idea. about the sperm.
How far along are you?

Did they see a hearbeat? Sperm can survive up to 5 days before they actually fertilize the egg and ultrasound dating can be up to a week off. If they saw a heartbeat and everything looks okay than I would say try not to worry. My baby measured a week behind (and further along each ultrasound) at the beginning. Now she is measuring big.
