It wouldn't hurt to know and prepare ahead of time whether they predict disability or not. But it also doesn't hurt to just wait it out because your love will be the same

I'm not sure about test that far along, but my doctor wouldn't test me after 13 weeks because the fluid that they check isn't noticable or something like that. I am.sure they have something that can test you, but I am not aware of it. I am sure you are fine, would you not continue the pregnancy if it did have ds? Goodluck and hope someone else has more info then me

Id get it done. It's just a blood test. No matter the result it'd be a good thing to know so you will be prepared on the care for your little one. Don't sweat it mommy, im sure everything will be fine.

I would definitely suggest you get it. They just take your blood and test for a lot of things. Also when you get a ultrasound they'll check for defects such as cleft palate or lip. Very simple
