How long after loosing mucus plug did labor start?

I know every pregnancy is different I'm just curious. I'm a FTM 38 weeks + 4 days. I had my membranes stripped yesterday and I'm 3 cms dialated and 80% thinned.I'm pretty sure I lost my mucus plug this afternoon. My lower back has been hurting for about 4 hrs. I really hope it means labor is coming soon. So my question is how long after you lost your mucus plug did labor start for you?

I went in last night last after 2 hours of mild contractions (felt like mild cramps) and serious back pain.I was still at 3 cm so they had me walk for an hour and checked me again. There was no change so they sent me home. The contractions stopped sometime during the night.so I'm not sure what our little guy is doing but he sure is being stubbron.

With my first it was the night before having her, she got here 3 days before she was due. We had actually gone in that night because I was having regular painful contractions close enough together, but I wasn't dilated enough and they had me walk around the floor for an hour (Hubby did a great job holding me upright through the painful contractions). After all that and no change in dilation, they sent me home in the wee hours of the morning with a Morphine shot (I remember cleaning up a bit down there before changing out of the hospital gown, and it was more than just a little discharge with a little blood). I'm pretty sure my water broke at 6am the next morning, I had a painful contraction so strong I was instantly awake. We got stuck in rush hour trying to get to the hospital, so I was delirious from pain before I got the epidural, but I was only pushing for about an hour, and I had her at 1:22.

It happened quick for me, but my mom had to be induced for all 7 of my siblings and me, so we weren't sure how my body was going to handle it... I hope yours goes/went well :)

Same thing after my appt we came home and had sex and I had horrible cramps but nothing consistent and only lasted about an hour an a half. So we walked around babies r us last night for about 45 mins since it was pouring rain out lol and I had some back pain while walking but I'm best rest ( just got cleared for short walks yesterday) so I didn't know if maybe just being up was causing the pain

I had my dr appt yesterday and she said I'm 3cm dilated but she didn't want to strip the membranes cuz she said he's already very low. She said if I get any contractions just go to the hospital and they will keep me there. So I'm doing everything I can to start some contractions, just enough for the hospital to see them on the screen lol. It makes me mad cuz as soon as I got home last night I started walking on my treadmill and had sex after that, and I had a few contractions, but they stopped. Lol stubborn baby.

Your exact same situation happened to me with my last pregnancy. I went to my dr appt and she stripped my membranes and I lost my mucus plug that day after leaving the dr office, and then I started getting consistent contractions about an hr later. I timed them before I left and they were 5 mins apart. I ended up having him that night. I guess it really just depends on how well it works for your body. It seems like ur body is doing what mine did so far, so I wish u luck.
