such a mess :(

23+5 today and my landlord us giving me until Sunday to leave my house, since I can't afford rent being off work.....my income dropped from almost 1300/month to 400 :/ I'm grateful for what I do get but now my son & I have nowhere to go, I've applied at low income but 1 bad reference is keeping us out, my family is no help and had nothing nice to say about me being pregnant even though I'm 26 & my son is 5. I'm so lost & have no help or support. :( I've called all housing places today and none have funding. I'm praying this apartment helps me out next week regardless of the previous landlord :( super stressed & no motivation to move stuff or start taking stuff to storage :'( I feel like I've failed my kids.

So wait a minute it was a written notice giving you how long to vacate the apartment? Was it a court order notice and what state do you live in? I live in Michigan and I'm sure some things are different in different states but out here you have to be behind on your rent 30 days before they can start the court process and the court process takes about a month and then after the court evicts you you still have another 30 days to vacate the premises you should look into this bcuz if its not court ordered you might not have to leave by Sunday he should have to go through the courts to make you leave and although that's not the best way to do it it still will give you longer to get in somewhere also are you putting your current landlord down as a reference bcuz i had this happen when i was younger and instead of putting them down i told the new place i was living with family or a friend who backed me up and said i paid my rent to them i know is not good to lie like that but when you have kids sometimes you just have to do what you have to do I'm really hoping that something works out for you i know how hard this kind of situation is but everything will work out the way its supposed to its just difficult to look on the bright side when everything looks do dark at the time keep your head up girly you can get through this if you have tine later this weekend keep us updated i hope it all works out

something similar happened to me... I just moved into this house two months ago and now all of a sudden the lanlord is telling me he is selling the place and i have to weeks to get out... I put so much money into this house because he made me do all the repairs painting and replacing everything and its really hard for me to find a place because im on bedrest i have money saved but no pay check stubs so its driving me crazy and im really depressed so I understand what you are going through
