Yes you're supposed to get a pap during pregnancy. Just in case you do have any infections, they can try to help get rid of them before the baby is born. Due to certain risks

lol same thing happened to me wheni went to the hospital I hadn't showered that day or had shaved and than they surprised me when they went all up in my business I was so embarrassed I had just got off work so I felt musty so when I went to my Ob first visit I shaved and showered and she didn't even look at me ! But now I know they will do that tomorrow so now im going prepared unlike the first time at the hospital lol

Yea she is probably doing it bc of that.. Let them do what they need to do. They are there to help you. Like she said. They wouldn't do it if it harmed the baby.. I think you will be fine :) better to let them check than go without knowing and miss something big u know

If it wasn't safe to perform the procedure during pregnancy they wouldn't do it. The extra blood flow to the cervix may cause a bit of spotting after the Pap, but it won't cause the cervix to dilate and therefore doesn't endanger the pregnancy in any way.

Why are you getting a pap? Is your ob doig it? I don't see why it would hurt baby but They shouldn't do one until after baby is born. I'm supposed to get pap every 6mo due to HPV but I don't get one during pregnancy at all.
