uncomfortable pain

i am hoping someone can give me some ideas on the uncomfortable almost painful feeling i'm having just above my pubic bone, under my belly.  my first thought is that it is braxton hicks cont., but it seems to be a constant feeling, not one that comes and goes after a few minutes, i really only feel it when i stand up or walk.  could it still be my uterus contracting even though it seems like a constant tightening feeling?  the other idea i had was maybe it was the baby dropping and putting pressure somewhere new, but i am only 34 weeks with my first baby, isn't that kinda early for baby to be dropping?  my birth class had said when baby drops you will feel pressure, but this is more pain then pressure.  any ideas? please.......

It sounds like RLP (round ligament pain). The larger and heavier your belly gets, the more strain on the ligaments supporting the uterus. Hence a tight feeling. It's very easy to pull these muscles, too.

You may have a hernia. Did you ask your OB about it?
