Hi im new here can anyone tell me if at 8 weeks its possible for twins to be covering one another? Everyone that has seen my u/s pic say they see 2! I see what they are talking about now but would my doc miss this?

Have you had an internal ultrasound? With that type of ultrasound there is no way to miss twins. If your doctor did one already and didn't say congrats its twins safe to say you are only having one! You can always contact your doctor with your concerns and they will clear it up for you!

I can only one, Your ultrasound pic is pretty clear, so I think seeing 2 would be pretty obvious. Most likely just a shadow.

I had to look very hard to try to find a hint of where ppl think 2..is it behind the head/shoulder? That's most likely just how it was angled when the tech took the pic. Even trying to see two, I only seen one lol

Thanks for the quick response. I didnt think so but what everyone keeps pointing out clearly looks like another. I keep saying it must be a shadow. I guess we will see at 12 weeks i have another u/s then because im high risk and that was just a quick one to check growth and hb.

It's unlikely, but it does happen. All depends on the position of the baby, the quality of the ultrasound machine, and the tech using it. Some just aren't as thorough or experienced as others so they don't pick it up.

If they're fratetnal, they couldn't really miss 2 sacs. Identical, its possible but I wouldn't think so at 8 weeks bc they move the stick around a lot for diff angles and at some point would've most likely seen a hint of the 2nd and they don't take up much room at that point
