Toothpaste! Lol. Take some rub it on wash off! Smells veryyyy minty though my eyes water sometimes if i leave it on to long ( more then 5 minutes ) because the smell is so strong, for big pimples i just take a dab and leave it on overnight, i know it sounds crazy and ridiculous but it really works! Also blackheads take a bobbypin and rub it down on them and they usually come out! Ik ik both weird things. Lol
I used the medium to thick on my first and this ine. as far as body wash, I use the baby johnson stuff. lol.
While we're on the subject, does this mean I should check labels and possibly change shampoo or shower gels? I have sensitive skin and right now am using an Olay bath wash and Tresemme shampoo/conditioner.
Any recommendations?
I think it's a little different for everyone! Especially when you are pregnant because it's hormones and hormonal acne is very difficult to deal with. I've heard that proactive doesn't mix well with when you are pregnant!
I had the same issue but what helped me was entering second trimester when all hormones calmed down a bit!
I dread being pregnant again because I felt sooo gross with all the acne!
A little baking soda works wonders on your skin.
For washes, I'm allergic to pretty much everything anyway so I tend to stick with more natural soap companies like Pure & Natural or Aveeno. Check product labels to be sure, of course. That Garnier one sounds nice!
okay, an update. I got the 3 in 1 cleanser by garnier (sp?) and it works wonders. :)
I rub my face w alcohol swabs since I'm so oily. It works for me.
thanks for the recommendations! last pregnancy I used proactiv it worked fine. this time not so much! thanks again!
Make sure you wash twice a day when you find a good face wash. I use a loreal makeup wash in the morning.. then biore face wipes at night. Just started this about 3to days ago and my face is clearing up. I've never had bad breakouts until this pregnancy.
You might laugh but I use Burt's bees baby wash. I've been using it about a year now and have a little more than half a bottle left and I never get break outs. It's really gentle and smells nice. :)
personally i reccomend Norwex face cloths... seriously they are made of fine microfiber and awesome! i dont sell this product but i am a fan of it! it works awesome to take off makeup and for ppl who cant use soap it is a life saver for the skin... worth a try...
i read that you should be cautious on what skin products you use on your skin on the label you should avoid....
Retinoids: also called Differin (adapelene), Retin-A, Renova (tretinoin), Retinoic acid, Retinol, Retinyl linoleate, Retinylpalmitate, Tazorac and avage (Tazarotene) Salicylic acid(no more that 2%): also called Salicylic acid, Beta hydroxy acid, BHA Soy:also called Lethicin, Phosphatidylcholine, Soy, Textured vegetable protein (TVP) also avoid accutane
Note: Alpha hydroxy acids, sometimes listed as AHAs, glycolic acid, or lactic acid, are safe
also you can talk to a dermatologist about getting a safe topical antibiotic for your pregnancy-induced acne if you are having trouble finding a safe fashwash that works... good luck
I use neutrogena the brown face bar for acne prone skin for years it can be drying just dnt leave the soap on longer than a minute it washes clean and contains no medicine use a good face lotion as well with breakouts apply a cream from cvs or rite aid that contains benzoyl peroxide and apply generously at night or every other its drying then u should start to clear if u have huge cyst like bumps.u may need the topical antibiotic if its safe for pregnancy good luck
