Quick question

Hey yall I'm 38 weeks today, have been 1cm dialated since 35 weeks. I had my last ultrasound on thursday, and baby is 6.5 pounds! :) My dr said she could come anyday now. I know that sex is a way to help induce, but I'm wondering if masterbation will do the same or not? I'm not necessarily looking to induce myself, just, well, enjoy myself a little lol. If I do help myself along, then thats ok. I just wanted to know if it could have the same effect as sex.

Thanks for your response :). I'm single, so the actual sex is kind of out lol. But it does make sense for the uterus contracting and stuff. I just didn't think about it.

With my first child thats how i got my labor started was with sex and yes i think masturbating should have the same effect. Its how the uterus contracts when yo climax that ckuld possibly induce you i dont think the penis has anuthing to do with it although the guys sperm helps soften your uteren wall which helps with labor.   Whatever your decision good luck
