I planned to do a natural vaginal delivery with my first and dilated to an 8 before they realized that my baby was breach. I had an emergency c section. I was completely prepared for natural and was devastated when given a c section. But after it was done I was able to walk and have my catheter out in just a few hours. My stomach muscles were sore for a few days and It was painful getting up and down from the toilet and sitting up. I had to tie a rope at the end of my bed to pull my self up. But really it only last a week or two like that. I felt pretty normal fast and I didn't bleed long because they clean you out.it was actually a good experience. I'm going to try natural again this time but if I end up with a c section its not too bad
To me it dosnt matter how the baby comes out. As long as it comes out healthy. I suffered a fourth degree episotomy ( it tore from one hole to the other) TMI I know! Now that's painful. Anything could happen vaginally or c_section. Trust your drs decision.
I agree, abigator. I walked and walked, the first few days after the C, and really didn't find recovery any different than a vaginal delivery, after leaving the hospital. Probably everyone has a different experience. This doesn't mean one would push one's doctor to do a C-section if it is not warranted by the situation (he wouldn't do it anyway). But they are not a terror, at least in my experience.
I had an emergency c section my grandma a midwife... told me as soon as they let you outta bed start walking and walk as much as you can.... my son was in the nicu so I had to walk every day 4 or 5 times a day back n forth to feed him so when I left the hospital I was fine, u would have never known any different
I had a c-section and its horrible. The pain is a ***** and it hurts like hell for weeks. I would pay to have a vaginal delivery.
C-section is not optional. So Vaginal.
A C-section is a major surgery. Not something to be taken lightly. I haven't had one but I had a friend who had an emergancy C-Section and she said her organs were laying out of her body. I wouldnt choose a C-section if given a choice.
Yes, it's not like you pick one or the other. The doctor will only order a C-section if the situation warrants it, either in advance of delivery or during delivery.
Vaginal is the best way u only get a c section if u cant deliver vaginaly or have had previous c sections. Ur vagina goes back to normal quick.
