suggestions on DNA screenings?

I have an appointment scheduled for March 4th to have my DNA screening done and I'm extremly nervous for this... any suggestions or thoughts on this? Did you have it done or did you pass at it?

That makes me even more nervous because they sounds a bit unsure about my due date and exactly how far a long I was.. but I think I will go ahead and do the screenings and just pray on it. Thanks!

When they told me my results I cried and was scared for 2 whole weeks waiting for my MaternaT21 DNA results to come back, and later, after I was told my daughter was fine, my doctor told me they had my due date wrong and it threw the whole quad screening off. That's how bad the test is lol just having the due date off by a few days can give you the wrong results.

I had the quad screening done and it came back my baby was high risk for Down Syndrome. Then I had the MaternaT21 test, which is over 99% accurate, and it turned out my baby is perfectly fine. The thing with the screening tests is that they are very inaccurate and have a high false positive rate. They don't look at the baby's DNA, they look at substances in your blood and make a guess at what the chances of you having a baby with birth defects or abnormalities is.  If you want to get it go ahead but don't stress about the results. I was told from the screen test that I had a 1 in 100 chance that my baby would have Downs and she doesn't, and I know a woman that was told she had a 1 in 900 chance of her baby having Downs and her daughter does have it.

Yeah like the quad test to check if he/she is high risk of anything.. like down syndrome or anything like that...

Like a DNA test to find out the baby's father or do you mean a quad screening to see if your baby is high risk for anything?
