Question...

I am 5 weeks and 3 days along with my second baby. Well, that means I got pregnant again 5 months post pregnancy. My OB had told me that it was best to wait at least 2 years for another baby. I am just wondering if any of you knew if there are any specific risks from getting pregnant again so soon?? Like is there a higher chance for miscarriage, etc.? And will my OB need to monitor this pregnancy more closely? My last pregnancy was great, not many problems at all except that she was a big baby, I went almost 2 weeks over my due date, and they had to use a vacuum to pull her out. (Didn't want a C-section unless absolutely nesseccary). I have scheduled an appointment but its a week from now.. I haven't been the doctor yet. I'm just curious and impatient to know. Thanks

I've always heard it's take around a year for a woman's body to get to normal after a baby. Waiting to have another baby gives your body time to recuperate. There's are lots of mommies who have their babies close together and have absolutely no complications. Since your prior pregnancy was normal you and your unborn baby should be just fine. :) congratulations!!

I think doctors ask you to wait so your body heals accordingly how ever I know plenty of women that had there babies back to back with no problems.

By the way I am 5 wks 2 days My first appointment is 2/11.

I've never herd of that before and I know plenty of mommies that didn't wait to years they way I look at it is ment to happen then.it's going to.I suppose they say it so it just gives your body chance to return to normal and hormones to get back to normal but good luck and congratulations :)
