Pregnant and Nauseated at 47

I'm 47 and 12 weeks pregnant (since conception).  I've had 2 other babies, but never have I experienced such intense nausea, 24/7.  I have to get up 2 - 3 times per night to eat just to keep my stomach coated.  Still I end up vomiting sometimes several times a day and I feel like I have the flu, with headache, backache, bodyaches all over.  Will this end soon?  Is there any meaning to the nausea? I've heard it means the baby is healthy! Is it possible it could mean the opposite? I'm nervous about all the dire statistics which go with advanced maternal age.

ooh! order Preggie Pops. i had really bad nausea (til i discovered that taking prenatal on empty stomach was the cause) and Preggie Pops worked woooonders for me.

Pregnancy's are always different, so it's very normal for you to be having nausea in early pregnancy. As you're approaching you're second trimester, and if you're still having a ton of nausea and vomitting, ask your OB, they'll point you in the direction you need to go, I know there's medicines, and I believe popsicles that can help with this but I never had vomitting with my son so I'm not sure! Do you take your prenatals? If so, when? My prenatals were the only thing that made me sick, and I ended up having to take them at night because they made me so sick! Good luck, and congratulations!!
