You can be in active labor before your water breaks, just talk with your doctor
The water rarely breaks on its own. Most likely you'll be in labor and they'll break your water for you to get active labor started. They will not induce you, at all, period, unless you/baby are in danger, or you go over your due date by 2 weeks. That's it.
My labor was induced it was 10 hours but contractions were very intense... And my dr told me that only 10 percent of womans water breaks on its own its really not common...
I've been induced twice n both were fast n less painful than my others but everyone is different I was induced due to spd n other conditions but if your 37 weeks or more under certain circumstances doctors will agree to you being induced hun but there's also a risk of c-section n complications so I'd have a serious think n talk to your doctor about your options. Good luck sweet :) xxx
Also, induced labor is likely to be harder on the woman. Normally the body isn't as prepared for labor as it would be if the body naturally enters labor on its own, making labor possibly harder on the woman.
Doctors won't induce your labor just because you want to give birth sooner. That's very dangerous for the baby. The baby will come when the baby is ready, not when you're ready (if that makes sense), unless there is a complication -- that's why women get induced. Women get induced because of complications (for example, overdue by 2 weeks or more, complications for the woman's health, complications for the baby's health, etc.)
From what I've heard with induction labor tends to last a lot longer and be harder on the mom
