My doctors gave me the option if I wanted to try and find it at 10 weeks but they warned me that they might not be able to so if I thought it was going to freak me out it's better to wait. So we decided to wait, and the first time we heard it was 14 weeks, although we saw it on the ultrasound at 13 weeks (: I wouldn't worry. Even at 14 weeks they had a tough time with mind because my placenta is in the front !
I barely got to hear my babies at my last doctor appointment, I was 11 weeks 3 days. I'm having twins even and he could barely find it with the heartbeat. My doctor said he heard it slightly but I didn't hear anything. I had an ultrasound at 12 weeks 2 days and got to hear and see both babies heartbeats then:) so don't worry too much their still pretty small and squirmy it's hard to catch.
I didn't get to hear mine first go around either. They just had me come back in two weeks and looked again. It took 3 different doctors to find it but they eventually found it and I was 12 weeks along. It depends a lot on how baby is positioned on easy it is to find,
If they are only calculating ur weeks by ur last period u may not even be ten weeks yet bcuz u could have gotten pregnant later in ur cycle then they think and u may be less than ten weeks bcuz I didn't get to hear the heartbeat until around 13 weeks and it was hard to find and I had an ultrasound a few days later
My doctor wouldnt do mine till 20 weeks because its too hard to find before then .. I got mine on first go theyve never had to try find it it was just yhere but rhats cause I was vomiting 20 weeks .. im now 26 weeks and they dont use a doppler anymore .. I wouldnt worry ur very early still
I didn't hear a heartbeat at first appointment and now I'm here with a beautiful, healthy 9 week old girl! Don't be disheartened, it's just too early to hear yet :)
Me, at 10 weeks 2 days, and because I had just had a miscarriage a few months earlier they sent me over immediately for an Ultrasound and everything was ok! I also purchased a doppler off eBay for 20 dollars for in between ultrasounds. Gave me an extra piece of mind. Best of luck to you!!
