7 weeks and spotting..

I am 7 weeks today. This is my 5th pregnancy, three of them making it full term. The last pregnancy failed in what was called a missed AB, where I was supposed to have a miscarriage but my body didn`t get that memo and we didn`t know until I was 17 weeks. I had to do the entire labor and delivery. It was obviously not a pleasant experience. Now, as I said, I am 7 weeks pregnant and I am spotting. I had the implantation bleeding at 4 weeks, which is when I found out I was pregnant again. The bleeding went away for about a week and has been back for about a week to a week and a half. It is dark red, what I have been told is `old, dried blood`. I have told my Dr and she doesn`t seem concerned. I have a sonogram on Monday, but today I started bleeding a bit more. Nothing to fill more than a liner, but enough to make me worry. How normal is this? I know my Dr says it is normal but after losing the last baby, that doesn`t put my mind at ease one bit. Has anyone else experienced this? I am just so worried...Thanks in advance for any advice or thoughts!

Thank you everyone!  Things have not gotten better. I found out my progesterone levels are low so they put me on Prometrium. The bleeding has gotten worse, changing consistency and color and frequency and I have been cramping. Nothing severe, but enough to be uncomfortable. I had to call the on call Dr last night to see what they wanted me to do and basically he said I have a 50/50 chance of a miscarriage and I am on bed rest until my sono on Monday.... Nothing to do now but wait..I am really scared I am going to lose this one.. I was hoping that the Prometrium would make it all go away and fix whatever problem that is going on, but we will see....

My advice would be to relx and stay of your feet. You may be too stressed or doing too much. Early on in my pregnancy I had the same thing but I stayed in bed for the next couple of days and it went away. Other than that good luck and I hope all is well!!!

I've heard of several women spotting/bleeding during early pregnancy. My sister is 10 weeks and she's been spotting since 5 weeks. Each time she goes to the doctor, the baby is fine! She has had an u/s every week since she started spotting to check the baby. The baby is growing fine and has a great heart beat. Maybe this will be some encouragement for you. I hope your little bean is hanging strong in there! And I'm so sorry about the baby you lost :( Prayers for you!

It's hard to say but the best thing you can do is relax as much as you can until you have your scan Monday. Hopefully you will see a nice little bean in there! :)
I'm very sorry for your previous experience. There's nothing worse than that and it doesn't help with future pregnancies. It almost robs you of your joy from that point on!
