I never drank soda much before getting pregnant and now i usually crave root beer (luckily it's caffeine free) but it still worries me to gain weight and that it's still unhealthy in general. I try to limit myself to 1-2 a week and try to stick to root beer and sprite! A little caffeine won't hurt the baby at all so don't worry too much about it. (:

I craved soda with my first and again with my 2nd. The first time around I had gestational diabetes and would drink and occasional diet 7 up. This time I was lucky and didn't get gd, but still crave that soda. An occasional one is ok, but to help when I really shouldn't have one I would get a carbonated flavored water. It helped give that feeling of drinking a soda without the same stuff.

You can drink soda just limit it to a bottle a day!  I drink water most of the time but if I crave soda I won't hesitate to drink it I just make sure I limit my intake. I'm 30 weeks and my little girl is healthy as can be :)
