did my water break?! please help!

Ok I'm 38+6 and at 10:05 I had a quick gush of clear fluid, I'm a ftm so I automatically think it's my water. I go to l&d 30 minutes later, she does the swab, and it was negative, so she orders an ultrasound to measure my amniotic fluid and she says it's normal so they sent me home. I had no pain when I got there but now Im having pressure and back pain. It's almost 3am and I'm still leaking this clear fluid. Everybody is saying it's not my water and that I'm pissing myself!!! There's no way I've been constantly peeing for almost 5 hours?!
Any lairs have this happen before our know what it could be? Please help

If you are Group B strep positive you should go in right away so they can get you started on your antibiotics.

Call you doctors office and let them know what's going on and which hospital your heading to...then I would go up there...or you can wait and see if your contractions get more intense....don't wait too long though

yes I would take the pad in and see what they say.  Sounds to me like your water and you have the bloody show coming on as well.  Just go to L&D but you dont have to be in a huge rush...

I've soaked the pad should I keep it and bring that in? There were streaks of blood in it and now I'm starting to get more cramps. Instead of rushing to the hospital should I just call my doctor to see what she wants me to do

I agree put a pad on. My water broke and gushes everywhere and the nurses still didn't believe me they did and exam even though my pants were wet. lol. If you have a saturated pad though, they can test it right away.

Put a pad on... If you soak through it in an hour or less chances are its your water.

Ya it is. Put a pad on so it will catch some of the fluid and have the nurse test that. When my water broke the nurse was telling me every other test was coming back positive and the other half she said it was urine.

I've not had mine break naturally but it does sound like yours have broken. Your waters will have a sweet smell to them. Good luck and go back to hospital if you are still concerned.
