Well I would say that it is braxton hicks contractions but if she is worried about preterm labor she should either be monitored or it should be addressed by her doctor.

She needs to call her doctor and let them know ASAP.

Hello,
I went into premature labor with both my first son, and my third.  How many children does your sister have?  I ask that becuase I know that the more children you have, the earlier you tend to start getting the braxton hicks contractions.  Has she kept time of how often they come?  If they are pretty irregular they are most likely braxton hicks.  However, due to the fact that she had to have her cervix stitched, then there may be something there.  My advice would be for her to not move too much, stay in bed or on the couch, keep track of how often they come, and if they are coming pretty regularly or start to become painful, then she should call her doctor immedeatly.  Make sure she pays attention to any discharge, or leakage, especially bleeding.  If they do not subside by tomorrow, then definately call the doctor.  Good luck and I will keep you guys in my prayers.

Tara
