head lice.

Hey ladies. So I don't think I have it. I'm pretty sure I don't have lice, but my boyfriend and I were with my cousin and her boyfriend yesterday and I just found out she has lice. I've had it before and I have very thick hair. It's just annoying. What do you use to get rid of it, that's safe while pregnant? And what do you clean in the house? Asking just in case I find out I have it tomorrow. Thank you!!!

I've had lice one time when I was like 4 from catching it from school! I have very thick curly hair & the comb took FOREVER it took like a total of 2 weeks to clean completely out even with the "lice shampoo" I'd honestly just dye my hair if I ever got it again cuss it'll kill them all but then you'd still have to get all the dead eggs out.

And you can just put blankets and things out in the sun. Head lice only live for 6-8 hours without feeding off a human so if your away from you'r bed ext. for longer then that then u don't need to treat or clean it

Pouring vodka on you're head.
Also ..  This may sound crazy but it works lol , orange mouthwash ..  Dump it all over you're head & then dump vinegar on it ...  Put a bag over it for an hour.
& then use the comb & watch the little buggers fall.
... my nieces get it a lot & that's a special treatment they do.

Comb them out and comb you hair ( with lice comb ) once every week. Do it dry or wet whatever you find easier. And teetree does help keep them away

I'm hoping I don't have it! She had an actual bug in her hair, not just a nit. So I'm thinking I'd be itching since they multiply so fast. But I'm still going to check and wash everything just in case. Thank you!

Do you do that while your hair is wet or dry?

Dying my hair was the only thing that killed them. So if you are comfortable with doing that, Then I suggest when you buy the dye (a salon will not take you if u have it). Get the dye, a plastic shower cap, bedding spray that you can use for ykur furniture. Gloves and a medical mask to wear while you clean. Dye ykur hair and while you wait before washing it out, take the lice spray and spray down your bed ( throw pillows and sheets into washer and dryer) your carpet and any other cloth or fabric materials. Either throw out your brush or put it in a bleach and water solution with any hair accesories. After you shower to finish dying your hair throw your clothing that you wore while dying your hair into the wash. Bra and undies included, plus the towels. Use a lice comb or fine tooth comb and comb out your hair. Wash the comb out esch time you comb through your hair. Also on the bottle of furniture spray it should tell you what to do after applying it to the furniture. Vaccum and vaccum. Good luck. Lice suckssss.

I've heard so many silly little ways,I honestly suggest getting a lice comb, stripping them clean from you hair (rinse comb each time it goes through your hair) and to make a spray bottle with water and a small dash of tea tree oil to keep them away from your hair! I haven't had them for years but that always worked for me!
