So what is a safe amount of vitamin C to take? I am a nurse and it too seems like I catch every patient's cold lately. It is awful.
Thank you ladies for all your answers.
It's very humid here so no problems with that.
Since my prenatal pills don't contain any vitamin c i just got some chewable tablets. It's funny, this morning I was feeling awful but then my husband gave me one of those jellies with 1000mg of vitamin c and now I feel much better! the supplements i got have 400mg for every 2 tablets so I guess I'll be ok with that amount
Yeah it is pretty common and a lot of docs don't catch it. My midwife knew what was going on as soon as she saw me and got me hooked up on the right path. A Neti Pot can help too. Good luck ladies!
I'm going to have too look into that if it doesn't go away Spiket, that's exactly how I feel, and I definitely need to find a humidifier!
If she's not worried about it, I wouldn't be, I'll have to try the vitamin c thing!!
You may have pregnancy induced rhinitis? I had it with my first pregnancy and it was annoying! It can be chronic through your pregnancy.
What helped me was sleeping with a humidifier, olive leaf nasal spray (look on-line for it) and acupuncture. It feels like you are on the verge of a sinus infection...stuffy head, drainage and cough/sneezing. The drainage can make you nauseous too.
Yes, it can be. When pregnancy your immune system more or less eats itself and you're much more susceptible to viruses and colds.
I wasn't but I'll post there now, thanks for the heads up!
Yesterday was my appt with my doc and she said that I need to take more vitamin C but didn't say if it was normal or not
I have been too, but I'm wondering if it's not the season for me, I have allergies baddd!! I'd ask your doctor about it just to be safe. I'm 10w3d! Are you in the January 2013 babies?!
