Weight gain

At my previous appts when they did my weight, I gain 2-4 lbs a month, which they said was good bcos I was gaining. But yesterday at my WIC appt, she took my weight, & according to that I gained 10 lbs since march 14 ! My next app is the 17th of this month. Now I'm scared of going and them telling me I gained even more. It's not like my eating habits changed.. I still eat the same so I don't understand. I'm 25w4d

You tend to gain more water weight the farther along you get. But your weight is fine!! All because you gain 10 pounds doesn't mean you will have a huge baby!! With my first I gained 63 pounds, and my baby boy was born weighing 7lbs, 5oz... Totally average sized baby.

Some people just don't gain weight. My doctor told me in the beginning what I was gaining was ok, and I'd I couldn't gain weight the baby would still get what he needs from the vitamins and stuff m.e myself would worry if I couldn't gain, I'm just a freak like that loll

Omg I'm glad I'm not the only one! Obv my appointments are every 4 weeks, but going from 2-3 lbs then almost 10 ?! I nearly cried. But everyone tells me I still look good , I mean it doesn't look like I've gained a lot.. apparently I'm all baby. Ohmygoodness, I will cry if I have a big baby! Lol this is my first so just the thought of delivery alone is scary.

I wish I could gain some weight. I'm 24 wks 2 days and I'm -3 lbs from my 132lbs start weight. I eat but I can't seem to gain anything. I'll loose 2 lbs then gain 1 the whole time. Everyone tells me to eat more I'm already eating all day. Lol

I gained 9 pounds in four weeks. Then I gained 6 pounds in two weeks. I almost cried at both appointments. That's after gaining maybe 1-3 pounds at each appointment. I'm terrified to step on the scale now. I don't eat any different then I used to. I really hope I don't have a 15 pound baby lol.

Wouldn't I have noticed it before tho ? Cos I been drinking water since the very beginning and I wasn't gaining much. But it does make sense.

I was going to say it could very well be water weight. You tend to swell while pregnant especially during the summer. That means the water weight adds pounds...

Well at the Wic office it was one of those scales you'd use at home. But I've been trying to drink a lot of water, I have my entire pregnancy. And the weathers been bonkers. We had a few days were it feels like summer then back down to 40s. Good ol New England.

Not all places scales are 100% the same. So don't freak out!! And have you been drinking lots of water? And has it gotten warm or hot where you live?
