There are various opinions on this subject. I don't agree with drinking or smoking when you're pregnant. It's bad for your growing baby and selfish. I am a former smoker and I like a glass of wine in the evening. But I have quit cold turkey with my first baby and now number 2. I am only 7 weeks and I still get cravings for cigarettes. But it is not worth the possibility of hurting the sweet innocent baby growing inside of me. When you feel tempted to do something that may harm your baby; look at an ultrasound picture. It really helps :) good luck. No mom is perfect but we do our best.

Oh, you really need to talk to your doctor.  That is your best source of information. You may hear a story here and there of how a baby turned okay despite what the mother did but there are generally pretty firm guidelines that your doctor can give you that are in the best interest for you to follow for the well being of your baby.  good luck

Once in awhile is okay
When my mom was pregnant with me she was smoking and drinking she didn't find out till she was 6months that she was pregnant then she stop there's some crack heads who have healthy babies I'm a college student I was drinking and around people who smoked weed before I knew I was pregnant moderation is key and it's your choice
Its not bad or a sin to think about having a drink or a smoke every now and then

I wouldn't. Some people will tell you wine is okay to have in moderation, but honestly... Every woman and every pregnancy is different. In a situation like drinking, I would definitely put the babies life first since there are facts and warnings on drinking leading to fetal problems. Thankfully us women aren't pregnant for years, so it may seem like forever but you'll be done with the pregnancy and have your body back to yourself soon enough(: good luck

Alcohol is one of those things that they do know there is a link to issues and that is why there is the surgeon general's warning on it.  While one wouldn't hurt you every once in a while--  it still is making a choice of you before baby in my opinion.  Now, I liked the taste of beer when I was pregnant.  I had a non alcoholic beer once in a blue moon.  Once I had kids, I really gave up drinking or anything that creates a buzz because I found that someone always needs to be 100 percent with it to care for the baby or be there just in case.  Baby sure did change my lifestyle.

good luck

every time we go out I take a sip or two of my boyfriends drink but no more than that. I'd just feel guilty if I did. I miss beer so much I can't wait to drink again!

To each it's own, I feel like everyone is free to state their opinion but at the end of the day the decision is left up to you. Smoking and drinking can be harmful to baby! Yes we all are aware of that but it's not illegal nor is it against the law. I'm just saying
