Tearing..

Has anyone (id be suprised if not!) torn during labour? Like can you feel it or feel being stiched up? I do know they can 'cut you' prior if they think its gone to be bad.. i think im more nervous about that than giving birth itself!

I was cut by the midwife as my son's head was just too big. I didn't feel it at all, but I did feel it when they were stitching me back up. My sister recommend a hot face washer down there just before you  have to push, as it's supposed to help against tearing. I haven't tried it yet but will definitely be trying it with this next baby. Anything to prevent being stitched again!

My sister in law had a boy 9 1/2 lbs and didn't tear at all. Hmm im thinkin thats for a whole nother reason smh lol

I got cut and then tore even more but I am a pretty small person. I got 17 stitches and that was the worst part of labor. The pain goes away once you have your baby though.

From what the doctor told me. The only way you tear, is if you don't stop pushing when they tell you to. Or if your baby is too big.

I had a laceration on the left side and didn't feel it happen or getting the stitches in. I only felt it every time I went to pee. I had to then result in peeing in the shower as it took the sting off. It was only for a couple weeks so wasn't that bad

I personally haven't gone through it yet. But my mom and my best friend tore giving birth and they said they didn't feel it. But they didn't do natural birth. They both didn't really feel getting stitched up either. And my friend had to have 200 stitches!!! She tore reeeeaalll bad. But yes, if the doctor knows baby is on the bigger side, they may cut it which will be much better. You won't feel that. Don't worry! You will get through whatever happens <3

Any cutting is freaking me out! This is my first so I can't really tell you. But I have anxiety horribly at the thought of me tearing or them having to cut me. Especially c section. I just wish it could go smoothly lol. But still. I hope I am I. So much pain I won't know. Because knowing me I will faint if I hear "you ripped" or "we're cutting you" oh gosh!
