toiletries toothbrush/paste, brush, if you use a blow dryer youll have to bring your own, shampoo/coonditioner, lotion, lip balm, pit stick, tweezers, a going home outfit for yourself... breast pads, note pad/pen to have on hand, chargers for camera, phone, cash and change for snacks and parking, im taking my own disposable undies so i am not limited as my hospital was kinda stingy on how many pairs i was allowed(i dont reccomend bikini cut just incase you have a csection) make sure you have a lot of super maxi pad at home... think period on steroids, its crazy! im also taking waterless shampoo as i ended with a c section and wasnt allowed to shower for a few days last time but a little baby powder sprinkled in and brushed out works the same.... oh and im packing ear plugs and a sleeping mask as hospitals are too busy! so if i have someone to watch the baby and im tired... im sleeping! oh and some ppl take there own house coat but i prefer to use the hospitals just in case i leak blood on it... and im also taking slippers...

For baby the hospital usually supplies the diapers so i am only packing a few, nail clippers is a must, vaseline(my hospital supplies this too) oh and i forgot to put the mirror in the vehicle for the drive home so i reccomend doing this so you can keep an eye on baby :) oh and i pack enough outfits for the stay for baby cause its so much better dressing in pink or blue(or whatever color...gender specific) im also packing a couple gender specific blankets to swaddle baby for pictures :)

Lots say pack light and i did that last time and i ended in a csection so that means a longer stay... i also was running between floors from post partum to the NICU for the first couple days so i wanted to wear my own clothes as i was around a lot of ppl... anyway i ran out of clothes, felt super grubby cause i wasnt allowed to shower and am packing anything and everything this round to make myself more comfortable!! and PILLOWS is a must! for both you and your partner if they are staying with you... i couldnt believe how flat a pillow could get till i seen the one they had for me!
