bum cream, and a blanket and wrap to take her home in. Socks mittens hats and a teddy. I am lucky because I know my hospital will supply anything else I will need.

Hope that helps don't buy into thinking you need to pack up your babys room into a bag !

Lol I spent ages worrying about this going over lists like the one above thinking I had to pack my house up into a bag. A lot of lists are way over the top. Bottom line if your not expecting any complications your packing for 3 days. So you want

3 changes of day clothes, night wear and slippers if u want maby a dressing gownd if It's cold?
Nursing pads, breast pads undies you won't mind throwing out if the get to much blood on them.
Sports drinks if you like them
Shoes, socks, make up
Camera and phone.

For baby check with your hospital or midwife because they have different expectations. In my bag I have.

Cloth nappy pins, as I plan to use the hospitals cloth nappys why I don't have to do the washing ;) 3 grow suits 0000
