hot teas? . . . myths

Im Mexican and oh man do we have a whole but of pregnancy myths. i easy just wondering if we can have hot herbal teas like cinnamon tea? They say it can cuase abortion or if your outer along induce labor. is any of this true?

My sister is an herbalist and hasn't said anything about cinnamon I do know there are lots of herbs that can cause miscarriage and preterm labor so be careful

I'm Mexican too with my last baby my mom old me to drink a lot of cinnamon tea towards the end of my pregnancy to induce labor. Didn't work tho its just another myth.

You should be careful about herb teas, some herbs can cause contractions and early labor, sooner can have other effects.  Some if them are great.  I actually have heard that too much cinnamon can bring on labor, also raspberry leaf tea.  Ask your doctor which ones are safe.  Also green tea seems to rob your body of folic acid, so its not a great pregnancy tea either.

I drink apple cinnamon tea and cinnamon spice tea all the time and my little boy Is fine. I'm 33 weeks. My dr never told me not to drink tea just not too much with caffeine

I have no idea but my mother in law never let me have cinnamon tea.,or any type of hot tea in fact she said it wasnt good do drink during pregnancy.
