Leaving kids with mil cause I will be scheduled a csection on the 24th of July what do you all think is a reasonable amount of money to pay for her time and effort in taking care of the two kids I already have? Please I would appreciate your inputs

Throughout my pregnancy I've left the kids with her 3 times to get my things in order and a break but each time I left 150 for food and 200 for watching them a week it week and a half and now she is accustomed to being paid but this isn't for fun this is a important reason and like I said I gave her 150 already if she bring up more im going to say oh well and let her know she's being a sucky grandmother

I agree with the other ladies why is she charging u especially if she lives out of state and hardly sees them to begin with but I would just ask her how much she wants cuz then shell be ralking **** about how u didnt give her enough ask her and sww if its a price yall can agree on

thats about ******** i wouldnt pay there grandma to watch them she should want to its her grandchildren but hey if shes like that why even let her watch them or see them at all she must not love them if she wants to be payed to see them, my mom nor my MIL would let me pay them i could see for food but thats about it....

Thanks for the support ladies hubby doesent mind paying cause he feels kids are a big responsibility.my mother lives in a different state but wouldn't charge anything its just I'm here already. And don't want to travel back home with them then.bring them back and go to my ob to deliver I gave 150 already. I.guess ill buy their food n needed items and leave it there I just don't like to hear her bullying

I would send a box of detergent for their clothes and like Mac n cheese, lunch stuff, milk. I wouldn't send her money she is their friggin grandma

I wouldn't pay money for her to watch the.kids, but I would pay money for their food and the like. Especially since its going to be for a month, that could be a lot of money on her part to have two extra mouths to feed.

I can;t believe your MIL would want money to care for your children, thats crazy, my family would happily take mine and not want paid, I feel for you.    She should do it for the love of her grandkids.   What does you BF/Hubby think of paying her to care for his kids? x

2 kids and it will be a month I live down south.and she's in.Chicago I'm here now and will get my c section 24 of June down.south so I plan on dropping them off so I can take care of a few things for the baby, get some rest and a few recovery days after the.new baby get here

I believe it depends on their ages honestly. I used to babysit and toddlers and infants are much more needy obviously so I would charge more for them. Children and teenagers were easy peezy so the price got dropped. So let's just say anywhere from $30-$50 a day. I was considered cheap to most parents

Because she is one of those people who is like my rents due my light bill is due if she knows you have the money .....but if she knows your broke she will.say u owe me and soon as u have it she will bring it up. She's beautiful however with her grandkids she will make sure they are taken care of but will try and bully me financially so I want to come with a firm price.however my mom is total opposite but she works and wouldn't let me pay her anything but I can't risk her leaving them with her bf while she works

I honestly don't know...my mom and my mil will be having my son when I'm in the hospital and wouldn't let me pay them if I tried. Maybe ask her how much she thinks is appropriate?
