how to tell my father

I know this is kind of a silly question but its something I've been dreading. I'm trying to figure out how to tell my father and stepmother that I'm pregnant. Here's the catch I'm 25 and their opinions mean everything to me. I have a child who is already 6. Piece of cake right? Wrong.. it took me a long time to get my relationship back with both of them after I disappointed them and to this day they still make comments about how I better not have anymore children or when someone asks if I'm going to have anymore they both jump in claiming I don't need anymore. I've been with my bf for 7 years we live together and have never once asked anyone for financial help. I'm 9 weeks and frustrated.

Yeah every penny saved is a huge help. I didnt realize how much stuff a baby needed until I had my son. Well as long as you take it easy when you're not working!

Im 22 & telling my parents was one of the hardest things ive done. My mom refused to talk to me for almost a week then just.randomly called and started talking about cribs and baby names. Never apologized for yelling but shes excited now and  im 10 1/2 weeks now. Still havnt told my grandmother yet because im scared to death... Ive been with my bf almost 3 years now, we're financially stable and ive even taken in a friend and her one year old but im the only one who works. I know I need to tell her soon though cuz shes flying in from tx (to wv) for my brothers graduation in may and I dont want her mad when she sees me because im already starting to show a little...

Oh you poor thing! I feel so bad for you. 2 grave yards shifts? I've been so exhausted I don't want to get up in the morning to put my son on the bus. I can only imagine how you feel. Is there anyway you can talk to your boss about maybe lighter work? At least you're not feeling sick on top of that. I feel like I'm constantly rocking back forth on a boat. Worst feeling in the world!

Every now and again I get nauseous but not too bad.  I am mostly just weak and sore all over.  And extremely exhausted.  But my job is not helping in that.  I am on my feet constantly cleaning things. Its a rule.  So by the time I get off I am useless. And I work 2 grave yard shifts and it kills me.

@r1kuz I hope everything works out for at your doctors appointment!! Wow your oldest brother is 65?? God bless your parents!! It was the hardest thing to get that relationship back with them speaking we were always so close! I just wish he would wake up and realize I'm not a child anymore. But I can't change the fact that he's set in ways.

@mommyinapril~ first off congratulations on the new baby! If I thought it would make things easier I would definitely have someone tell him! Im not really sure how he reacted when I was born but I know my parents split up permanently when I was a month old due to infidelity on his part and another baby before I was a year old. I hope he jumps into the happiness too. Everyone in my family knows aside from my father and step mother. And everyone is frustrated with me because they want to celebrate it but can't until he knows.

I was 19 when I was pregnant and it all depends on the relationship you have with your parents, for me, my parents cried of joy because they know theyre old and might not live a couple of years more in wait for a grandchild so i married and began trying to conceive i was 4 months pregnant until i miscarried sad i know but my husband doesnt want to give up im 20 now and i have an appointment this saturday to confirm and both my parents are going with me :) i dont know if its the fact that theyre old and want to see their youngest have a child but im really happy they support me imagine how old they are that my oldest brother is 65!

also its sad to know how your folks may react but theyll get over it in time because youre his daughter and that child youre bearing is his grandchild i know its hard to start over again with your father but what i think its most important is your concern for your baby that will fill your life with happiness than winning all over your father again .___.

I had my mom tell my dad when I was 7 months.  I am 9 months now and its kind of an awkward subject.  But you poor thing your 25 in a relationship for 7 years and already have a six year old.  Your dad should feel blessed that his daughter has her own family and its a two parent household.  It makes me wonder how he acted to your mother when she was pregnant with you? Was he excited?  Keep your support system close to you and shut the door on the citrics.  You have a new family now and I pray your dad will jump on the train but if he doesn't you need to keep moving on.  You have two babies who need you like you need your father and you don't want to hurt them like your dad has hurt you.  God bless and good luck keep us posted

Fred Meyer is similar to wal Mart but more expensive. Yeah I don't mind the drive but we have to drive over the mountain and the weather is still bad and gas is so expensive.

Ooh noo! I dont even know what a fred meyers is. But I guess I'm spoiled when it comes to shopping. I have everything on the same stretch of road and 2 malls within 10 minutes of each other. an hour and a half is a long ride especially when you're pregnant!

Yea I read the reviews at a lot of different sites I guess for 30 dollars it could be fun. NO babies r us?? I love online shopping but sometimes I just like that visual aspect of it. Touch and play with things before I buy them. I think in a 30 mile radious I have 3 babies r us' and one combined with a toysrus. I didn't realize that there was so many new things from six years ago! Its so exciting!! I'm from pennsylvania..

It depends on where you look at the reviews if they are good or not Amazon has bad reviews but the inteligender website has great ones.
