Mat clinic rant

So our hospital is very busy and we dont get a specific doctor just who evers working that day. This whole pregnancy every appoinment ive had to wait an hour in the waiting room. Then some randon nurse who barely spreaks english does our blood pressure and weight then back to the waiting room for another half hour. When i finally get to see the doctor they tell me their name measure listen to the heart beat and send you on your way. Its so frustrating that i dont get the time to ask questions or even get to know any of these doctors. I feel so uncomfortable knowing my due date is in 5 days and i dont even know one of the delivery doctors names! How frustrating.

:( my doctor will come in at 3 am if he has to. With my last baby it was about 11:30 at night I was getting out of the shower an I slipped and fell and started bleeding and was taken to the ER by my MIL and they called my doc and he saw me for that, too

Aw im sorry, that really *****. I use a midwife group who delivers at the hospital and their birtjing inn, and while i dont see the same one every time, they rotate you with a diff. one every visit so when you deliver whoever is on call youve at least met a few times. And they all are great about keeping wait times low and giving u time to ask questions...Hopefully youll have a good dr. you remember from a visit. Youll do great, you are strong!

I think im just super mad at them today lol. I asked if he could sweap my membranes cause my hubby leaves town for work monday. He said he doesnt have time or else he would and if i havent had baby in one week we could do it then. Well i dont care in a week cause my hubby wont be here any way. Im just picturing a nurse i cant understand a doctor i dont know and doing it by my self. :(

That is frustrating, but that's kind of how all doctors are, wam bam. If you have questions think of them in that stupid waiting room lol and they will answer them for sure. I'm 38 weeks, and recently switched to a midwife office where its the same thing, theirs different midwives at the office and a midwife at the hospital 24/7 so I won't know either. As long as they get that baby out, I'll be happy :) but definitely think of questions, they might assume you don't have any ya know

Ugh :/ I wouldn't like that either! I love my doctor and the only complaint I have is who ever is on call the day I have my baby will be the one delivering her, unless my doctor just so happens to be the on call doctor or I get induced on a day he's working. I hope you get a doctor you feel comfortable with delivering your baby, good luck mama!
