wet ... tmi

This is tmi but for the last couple days I have been having sharp shooting pains and either right before they start or right after they calm down I get this gush of fluid down there.. it doesn't smell like gizzz or pee I'm sure what it smells like my hunnie says it's fruitie but I just and sick of changing my undies... what is it? Is it normal for ladies at 36 weeks pregnant and baby's head very low and cervix is thinning as well..

Iwas having small quarter size wet spots 24hrs before I had my baby, they swore I was peeing on myself nd I refused to believe it, the gushes got bigger nd I went back in, they had to induce me because my contractions wouldn't strengthen. The nurse said something about 2 bags of water, like either it hadn't completely broken or there was a second one to break? Idk but if your worried go into l&d until your mind is at ease!

Anytime you're leaking fluids you need to go to l&d or your doctors office. It's likely just urine or discharge, but in the event it is your amniotic fluid leaking you need to be monitored or delivered as risk of infection becomes great.

I heard that your water smells fruity, and it can go either slowly or in a big gush. I'd say head to l&d!
