Concerned about phenylketonurics (found in artificial sweeteners) Please Read.

Okay, so I started drinking the little tea packets that you put in a bottle of water because I don't like water at all.  I have been doing this for about 2.5 weeks.  This tea was a substitute for my water.  I found out this morning when I was looking at the package that it said it contained phenylketonurics.  I decided to look it up on the internet and I found that it can cause mental retardation in the fetus.  I am 17 weeks and 6 Days along right now, and I stopped drinking the tea.  The tea is caffeine free by the way...  I'm concerned that this little bit could have done something.  How much is needed to affect the fetus?  I'm really worried about this.  I am getting over my hate for water, especially after reading this and now I'm checking everything that I drink.  Please help me..

At the store, I tried to find the packets that contain real sugar, but nothing does anymore!  It doesn't even say sugar free..  You have to look on the back of the package below the nutrition facts and it will be in bold, "t phenylketonurics contains phenylalanine!"
I can't help but feel a bit betrayed by these companies that I used to love.  I'm going to write a complaint.
Thank you for responding! :)

Wow, they should really put warnings on things like that, Im shocked, and disgusted if I were you I would try to contact the company that makes the tea and see if you can lodge a complaint!  mabye even find out some information from them, I would also contact your MD see if they have any information about it.  Thank you for the information...I'll be watching a little closer as well.
