induced stories

I found out today I'm getting induced next week and this is my first pregnancy so I'm kind of nervous. I wanted some stories by mommas that have been induced. Why were you induced?  How long did your labor take? I've heard being induced is a lot more painful then natural labor, is that true?

I always wanted to experience my water breaking. . I was a week over due. The morning I went in for inducing my water ended up breaking at the hospital before they could even induce me. So it was pretty cool I got what I wanted. My labor was only 12hours. I hear of people being in labor for a day.. omg idk how they did it..

My personal opinion inducing ***** and hurts way worse than natural.  I've only been through labor once but I started naturally and they wanted to speed up contractions to 30 seconds which I was contracting every minute and man did I feel a difference in pain!

Iw as induced and was in labor for 23 hours it was miserable but it just depends on you my friend was induced twice and herongest labor was 7 hours. In the end it doesn't matter how bad it is all you are thinking about is seeing your baby

I was induced due to no fluid with my second child. To me the labor wasn't any worse than natural labor. My induction only lasted 8 hours. My first child I was in labor for 13 1/2 hours.

I loved it lol call me crazy but it was an amazing experience for me even the pain I loved every second of my labor maybe not pushing to much but still loved it...

I was "induced" I went from a fingertip to 2cm dilated in 3.days without me taking anything to induce my labor.and when.I was admitted.to the hospital they put cervidil and.in 12 hours of contractions I went.from 2.to 4cm and an hour later I was at 5cm they started.pitocin but.before.the pitocin did anything I was ready to push I did get an epidural at 8cm but my labor was amazing all I needed.was a.boost and.it.happened.with  cervidil my body did.it naturally only 6 hours of labor with 2 of pushing,
I'm a first time mom as well and my doctor couldn't believe I didn't go crazy and stayed calm but I personally think the earlier you get the epidural the better that way you can relax and rest before the big part comes and right before you push ask them to turn your epidural off if you want to feel it when you push, my doctor doesn't let you push with you're epidural so he actually turns it off and let's you g feel the contractions again. I got mine at 8cm and only rested half an hour because in that half hour I dilated to 10 cm and honestly I was extremely exhausted when pushing time came that's the only thing I wish I had fine sooner is get my epidural sooner instead of the iv meds because that made it worse for me
