Extreme rib pain!

I'm 30 weeks and I have severe pain like kinda to the side/above both my ribs. It's always there. I sneezed and honestly coulda cried the pain it caused. I can't laugh or cough or even talk to much. I just finished my 12 hour shift (I'm an engineer so very manual labour) I'm thinking it's very possible I may have just overdone myself tonight? I was planning on just going to bed and seeing what it felt like in the morning. Thoughts or advice anyone please?

Well it feels a little better today. Still sore but not nearly as bad. Guessing I just overdone it at work!

Thanks ladies :) I've felt the baby in my ribs before and this is nothing like that! I'm thinking it probably is just a strain. It's more severe on my left so that sounds slightly more promising lol. I'll just see how i feel when I wake up. Thanks guys :)

Could be the baby in your ribs. Mine does that a lot and I have to walk my butt off to get him to change positions. Also if it's more towards your right side and the pain isn't letting up it could be your gallbladder. Pregnancy causes alot of gallbladder problems that bring on those type of attacks. If it isn't better by morning I would give your DR a call.

When you're pregnant, your ribs become stretched out the max because of baby. And when you sneeze or anything like that it's pushing the limit severely. You probably pulled a muscle in there. Happened to me a while back I think I was 33w and it's exactly what you're describing, any deep breath would send me into rage of pain, I couldn't put my arm down or breathe really until the kink worked itself out and it kept happening over and over for a few weeks. Try to ice that spot and you can take Tylenol even though it probably won't help much lol just take it easy and talk to your dr about it
