Hi, i had an ultra sound at 17 weeks and da technision couldnt exacly determin babys gender because baby was sleepy and had umbilical cord cover its privates, but he looked on different angle and said its a Girl but didnt show me her girl parts and didnt give me a percentage, but he said he wants to see me back wen ill be 20 weeks, so can boy parts be developed after 17 weeks? Why would tech tell me its girl but would like to See me back to determin exact gender?

From what I've read, external genitalia is fully formed at 15 weeks.  Also, after about 21 weeks, the baby gets too big to determine gender.

This is why gender is determined at 17-20 weeks...

at 17 weeks he/she is developed...i guess their boy/girl parts just get bigger and more detailed from here on out. but in 20 weeks the baby will probably be in a different position and it will be easier for him to give you a for sure answer. i wouldn't buy pink yet until your 20 week ultrasound...but normally tech's don't give a guess until they're at least 60. by week 20 you should be able to tell. if drinking something very cold is supposed to get the baby to kick hey maybe it'll wake him/her up for your ultrasound. its worth a shot.
