Anemic

I was already anemic before pregnancy and now i'm about to be two months and i read all this stuff about anemia and death during pregnancy if anemia is all that's wrong should i be concerned about pregnancy death ?

I'm anemic and have been since I was 12 and I'm now 18 and it has gotten worse since I've gotten pregnant. I will be 30 weeks tomorrow and I go every Tuesday for the next 5 weeks to get an iron transfusion. It takes only a hr but it's so irritating on top of the iron pills.

Thanks so much i've just been so stressed about that. But i'm also asthmatic , it's gotten much better over time an when i test my breathing its great but i'm still concerned. I'm taking prenatals though and i went to the doctor about 1 1/2 weeks ago and i go again soon when they're gonna do all my blood work and everything i'm a first time mom and i'm young so i'm just stressed

I am anemic too and i'm taking prenatal vitamins and iron and me and baby are fine.

I have been anemic my whole life and my iron levels were low with both pregnancies and I am still here. Prenatal vitamins help but if it doesn't seem like that's enough your doctor will put you on an iron supplement. You will be fine. Don't stress yourself out over it :)
