job question

When did you stop going to work in ur pregnancy?
I am 19 weeks now. I am supposed to move to another workplace of the same employer somewhere in a couple of months where they might need me more... the more the better. I am supposed to give birth in january. If I leave in december, is it too late? This is my first preg so I have no idea how difficult this is going to be for me in oct or nov... Any advice?

I plan on at least working until my due date. I figured I would take a few days off before baby gets here. I love my job and everyone has been great.

I worked until labor, which actually started the early morning of my due date. This time I'll work until labor as well.

I am 36w and still working at a heavy lifting job.  My doctor is cool with it. I plan on working til I go into labor or my due date which ever comes first.

Work until you can't anymore, or the doc says stop. Keeps the mind busy, and who doesn't love the idea of extra money to buy all of those unnecessary, but cool to have baby items? Lol.

I'm working until I have her. But then again, I've had no complications and I work retail.

Thank you, so I guess december is a good time to stop after all. :) the job does not require physical effort but it is stressfull and involves coordination, organizing and a lot of people interaction. With some help and understanding I should be able to resist.

I stopped at 15 weeks as soon as I found out I was pregnant just because I was high risk and my job required a ton of heavy lifting

With my first I stopped working at 38 weeks only because my in laws were coming into town and I needed to get a few things in order. If they were not coming so soon I would have waited til 39 weeks, almost the full 40. But lucky me I gave birth during my 39th week. It also depends on you and what your doctor advises. If it's a higher stress job for you and your body you might want to put your notice in earlier. But I agree, December (middle close to end) would be fine. You really don't want to just sit around around home, it will make time go by so slow!

I stopped in my first trimester because of my vomiting, dehydration, & exhaustion. I just started back again around my 18th week but I only work about 15 hours/week to get out the house. I will stop again in Dec. I'm due Jan 10.

Well my best friend left a month before her baby was born and my mom was working the day she had my brother so I guess it depends on the person or doctor. I'm in the same boat as you and have no idea when to stop working

I think December is a good time. You don't want to be sitting at home doing nothing. You WILL go crazy. I stopped with my first on my due date and went crazy for the next 6 days wondering when it will happen.  Good luck.
