Ladies,

I just wanted to let you know that on the right side bar, under Most Viewed Health Pages, there is an option called "Am I pregnant? / Could I be Pregnant FAQ".

Just wanted to let you know......

Good luck to everyone ttc!

i've seen a program where a woman's husband cheated and passed on aids to her. one of the saddest things i've seen, they had young kids too. she decided to stay with him...personally i think i'd have killed him. aids and hiv are so dangerous and spreading all the time. it escapes me how it doesn't cross people's minds when they come here asking questions about unprotected sex.
i'm clean but i have to admit it's a matter of luck because i have had unprotected sex with at least 5 men since i became sexually active. i'm much more aware now, but all it takes is to sleep with someone who has a serious std once and that could be it for you. it doesn't seem to be foremost in people's minds and that is concerning.

I agree i got the talk in primary school when i was about 10-11 years old, my mum then gave a more detailed explanation just before turned 12 and sure as God my period started before i started 1st year of secondary school which would have made me 12 years old.  Don't get me wrong knowing so much so young made me experiment more i lost my virginity at 14 my parents dragged me kicking and screaming to the doctors to put me on the pill, but when i look back i was a 17 year old in a 14 year olds body i was very niave and so lucky i didn't fall pregnant to the guy i was seeing at the time as we used no protection.  I only learned more about STD's and things when i was about 16-18 years old i didn't have a clue about them.

People need to realise you only get one chance at life and not to waste it experimenting young and contracting any sort of STD, live life to the full and when you feel ready and lnow more about your body and life then take it to the next step with someone you have been with a while or married to not just one night stands

Yeah I think we've asked like 20,000 times on this forum to visit the "could you be pregnant" link thing in the start a new posts. However, it never happens and it most likely never will. Most people asking are hoping so bad to be pregnant and despite what anything says they want someone to tell them straight yes or no. Who can really blame them. I probably would post a question asking if I could be too.

I understand where you are coming from, as I too ask questions when it's close to the end of my cycle. I just need someone to give me hope that it may happen. What drives me insane about the questions is that people don't know (or don't seem to know) anything about their bodies and sex. I understood it all by the time I was 12. I don't mind answering questions when someone is ttc...that I can understand COMPLETELY...it's just when, like you called them, the silly little girls come on here and ask the obvious, and ridiculous questions. I could understand a 12 year old asking if she can get pregnant from fingering, but really an 16+ yr old? They should know more about their bodies, and how to get pregnant, and how to avoid it. They say they can't talk to their parents so they come here, but it's not them needing to go to the parents in my opinion, it's the parents needing to sit their child down and explain the birds and the bees. I got "the talk" when I was 12, after a class in school about periods. I just don't understand how these girls don't know more about themselves and sex...

definitely. only one of my boys was planned and i'm not kidding when i say i had myself CONVINCED i'd conceived every month we tried for him. looking back, it was probably mind over matter and i think that can do strange things to a woman's cycle too.
