labor or big baby

I'm 18 wks today! Tues & Wednesday I experienced pain so bad I went to the hospital weds afternoon! On Tues I woke up in pain and I was having contractions called OB n they told me to drink plenty fluid n rest. So I did..but on weds it was worst & I couldn't walk...got to L&D to be checked And everything was Ok... a few contractions at first but then they stopped completely..cervix closed everything seems normal!

So why am I experiencing so much pressure & having contraction spells?? Just curious...should I be concerned still?

Dehydration can cause contractions iI wouldn't be too worried if you aren't dilating or anything
