late ovulation, tough getting pregnant?

Alright so my husband and I have been trying to get pregnant since October of 2012. I've never had a perfectly regular period but they are anywhere from 30-33 days apart. According to an Ovulation test i ovulate somewhere around 20 days after my period ends. This means there is only about 10-13 days till my next period. Now this past month my period was 9 days late.... any tips on getting pregnant?
I also have mild endometriosis and my husbands parents took 8 hrs to get pregnant with him. Do we get fertility tested now?

Thanks for the help.

I suggest after intercourse, position yourself so your legs and butt are as elevated as is comfortable. I utilized a couch and threw my legs over the back of it. Do this for minimum of 15 mins. My husband and I tried for 4 years to get preggo. Did this once the day before I was due to ovulate, and now I'm 21 weeks with my daughter. Best of luck!!

Most clinics require anywhere from 6 months to a year of trying before they will test you, so you may need to fudge your dates a little - but I would definitely get tested now.  His test will be easy - as he only needs to have a sperm analysis.  Yours may requires multiple blood panels, ultrasounds, etc.  Best of luck to you!

Having a late ovulation shouldn't affect you getting pregnant, if you're ovulating cycle day 20, and have at least 12 days til your period starts, you're fine. It takes a healthy, fertile couple up to one year to get pregnant, if you're adding endometriosis on it, it may take a little longer. My sister had endometriosis and it took her a while to get pregnant, almost 2 years. My best advice is doing ovulation tests, having sex every other day for a few days before, during and after your ovulation. You can also lay flat for 15-20 minutes before getting up to shower, pee etc. And make sure you're having fun! There is no better birth control than trying to get pregnant, you have to make it so it's not a chore, stress on your husband to get pregnant can also effect his sperm. Most doctors won't even consider fertility testing until you've been actively trying with either a basal body temperature, or ovulation predictors, for at least a year. Good luck hun, I know how stressful trying to conceive is, I hope you get your positive!
