I get internal ultrasounds every 2 to 4weeks to check the length of my cervix. With both my pregnancies i did.

I only had mine checked once and that was at my 20 week scan & when they seen it was normal they didn't check again until they started checking for dialation at 36 weeks

How often do you go to check your cervix. Just with evry regular appointment?

I got a leep procedure back in 2008. I got pregnant three weeks after the procedure. I had a rough time with that pregnancy. My cervix wasn't strong enough to hold that weight. I dilated early extremely early. Im now pregnant with my second and i get routine ultrasounds to measure my cervix. So far i haven't had any problems with my cervix. Its still at 3.8 and Im 28weeks. I think i had so many problems with my first because i got pregnant so soon after the procedure.

I had the cone biopsy (basically the same thing) & my cervix was fine the whole pregnancy & I actually didn't start dialating until I some after my 39 week appt and I believe it was because of the scar tissue. When I found out I was still 0 & just soft at 39 weeks I started inserting primrose oil (which you can start at 36-37 weeks) in my cervix. I was 39+3 when I first did it & I went from 0 to 2 & 50% effaced in a week. So if you have the problem of not dialating because of your procedure I suggest the primrose oil :-)
