3 miscarriages before. now pregnant with low HCG level

BBQ
Hi Dr. Downing,
I am 32 years ago. From Sept 06 to June 07, I had 3 miscarriages, resulting in 2 D&C. Many tests were done to identify the reason of miscarriage, but there was no conclusion. Recently i got pregant again. the conception date was April 5. I contacted my doctor after my pregancy test came positive on April 15. Then had two HCG level test on April 17 and April 19 to see the progress of hormone growth. The HCG level on April 17 was 96 and on April 19 was 312. my doctor was fine with the result although the HCG was low and will see me on May 5. Maybe it's due to past miscarriages, I am very concerned because i haven't felt much of the regular pregancy signs such as breast soreness, or cramps that i felt in my previous 3 pregnancies. Today is already April 23. But my doctor will not do anything. In such a situation, would you recommend me to see another doctor who may be willing to give me some hormone supplement. or you think i should just wait. i know the May 6 appointment can go either way, either good or bad. Please help me and let me know what you think. Many many thanks.

your levels are still normal, since everyone's varys greatly.  aslo it is great that they more than doubled 3 days later.  You could always call them and have then do 2 more levels next week to try to re-assure you that they are still rising at a normal pace and maybe that would help the wait until May 5th?

I had really high levels at 5 weeks (about 11000) and I had no breast soreness my whole pregnancy. I didn't get morning sickness until almost 7 weeks and it went away a couple weeks after that. Not having symptoms doesn't mean something is wrong. Just like blueeyedtabbycat said every pregnancy is different.

I didnt really answere your question before cause I have never known what mine were...sorry:(
I do know that with my first 2 pregnancys I never had sore breasts but with this one they hurt so bad that I didnt want to put on a bra, lol! I dont know if HCG levels being low would have any impact on that symptom only that is is a symptom with pregnancy and there for you need some HCG , I dont know how much:( Every woman and her pregnancy is diffrent as far as that.

Every woman is different. Just becuase you don't have sore breasts does not mean something bad will happen. Keep using the Prometrium as prescribed and hopefully this little one will stay!!!

Thank you both for your encouragement. I hope it's good this time too. and i will try not to think too much about it. currently i am using Prometrium (insert pills), as prescribed by my doctor, to create a better environment for the pregnancy.

just curious. did you feel sore breast around 5-6 weeks although the HCG level is low?

HCG levels are well within the normal range. They can differ so greatly from person to person that it doesn't really matter how high it is but rather that it is doubling at least 60% in 48 hours which yours more than did. Try not to stress it seems to me like everything is going well this time. :)

your result is NOT low, just to reassure you. My HCG was 50 at 3-4 weeks, and 386 about 1 week later! I'm now 20weeks.

How far along were you when you M/C? Did they check your progesterone?

And your cervix?
