34 to old to be pregnant?

since when 34 is too old to be pregnant? my doc told me to think of doing amniosintesis because im too old to have a baby... ahh?

I think they say that bc of how young woman have kids these days. Just my thought. Though ik there are more risks.

Hmmmm, I got the same reaction with my doc... and I am 41! my Doc goes... do you want to keep  it? and.... do you know there are risks at your age. I was like ... umm WTF?

Im 31 almost 32 with 4 kids and I honestly feel like im still in my 20's (most days, lol) . I agree with Ashelen, your doctor probably meant you have higher risk for certain genetic issues. If he truely feels that you are "too old" to have babies than I would kick him or her to the curb and find someone eles. Best of luck

He's probably talking about the increased risk for down syndrome after 30 which is tested for using ultrasound and amnioscintesis....but the truth is, with modern medicine, you can safely have pregnancies well into your 40's....so you might want to ask him what he means, but if he truly feels you're "too old"..find a new doctor! you're still young!
